Inspired by Helen’s Severe arthritis, Professor Virgil Stenberg led a university team that solved long-term destructive inflammation. After Helen became pain free, thousands have benefited. Grateful patients organized the Helen Foundation to carry on Stenbergs work.

Fish oil supplements for arthritis?

My aunt suffers from arthritis both rheumatoid and psoriatic. She read a small study that fish oil may help arthritis, and she asked me to help her find info on the internet to see if this is true. I’d appreciate any info anyone has on this. Thank you!

I have psoriatic arthritis. The meds control the psoriasis but not the arthritis very well. I often wonder if taking these meds is worth future effects. Most of the time I feel fatigued and very sore. I also take 4 high blood pressure meds. I hate taking so many meds, and it’s very expensive. Is there anyone out there who has taken the methotrexate and enbrel injections for any length of time? I would like to know if you have experienced any adverse effects. I am not interested in switching to humira or remicade b/c my insurance does not cover them. I am also interested in any feedback from other psoriatic sufferers.

Here’s my situation and I would appreciate any informed advice or answers about this:

I suffer from a number of health conditions, but I get infusions of Remicade every six weeks for psoriatic arthritis.

Over 3 months ago I became very ill with pneumonia, probably as a result of the immune system taking a hit from the Remicade. Right before I became ill I noted a swollen neck gland and it didn’t go away through three rounds of very strong antibiotics.

Not only do you have psoriasis but it’s possible you have psoriatic arthritis also. I’m sure I am not the only one out there in this situation so any answer would be helpful. Thanks.
