@LoveRunstheHouse see an orthopedic surgeon
you need an exam to see what you have
MRI may help the exam but it may not be needed
After my 2nd baby 2 years ago, I developed awful pain in my tailbone which has spread to my entire right hip. I have severe one-sided hip pain every day. The dr’s through kaiser medical system have done NOTHING, they won’t MRI my hip although I repeatedly beg them. I have done PT, rest, ice, heat, anti-inflammatories, nerve meds, everything. Nothing helps. Dr recently just did cortisone shot in right hip bursa. Didn’t seem to do much.
WHAT SHOULD I DO????
@JMRG2992 rest ,motrin ,light therapy,injection in the hip an MRI

@jcat1411 I managed to get rid of some of the pain. I bought a $200 computer chair and try sleeping in a straight position. I still can’t do any outdoor activities though. Good luck with your hip pain. Mine pisses me off.

I’m 18 and I keep getting sever pain in my left hip but only after I’ve been sitting with my feet on the ground for a long period of time. It goes away when I get up and move around or shift positions but I can’t always do that (when driving or when at work). Do you have any idea what it could be? I’ve had it for about 2 years now.
@b00gym4n I have the same problem I can put my right foot to my left knee no problem, no so with left leg. I wen to the doctor and he said it is hip bursitis, he then gave me a cortozone shot to the hip. my hip still hurts and range of motion is very bad. I will prob need to see a physical therapists. Stretching daily might be the only cure. Hope this helps oh yea im 26 so not old but feel like an old man.
@b00gym4n SEE A DOC ,ORTHO SURGEON
My left hip joint is throbbing with pain right now. A couple weeks ago I could not even walk without it hurting really bad. It always starts hurting when I get out of bed and has been on and off for over 3 years now. It’s getting worse and worse. I’m only 23 years old why am I so unhealthy?
@bomchickawahwahmom you have arthritis of the hip that decrease the hip motion and you can not cross the leg
one leg may be shorter
you may have bursitis or piriformis syndrome
all this and the pregnancy affects the spine
need to see a doc
Sorry this is so long…one more symtom. I can’t corss that leg to tie my shoe. I can do it on the other side. All pain is on left. Thanks! Sorry this is so long!
I also limp really bad all the time but worse with activity from the pain. I feel like alot of pressure. The doc said arthitis and herniated disc in lower back? Would it make you feel like you want to literally have your leg removed? It is painful! Also at night I cannot lay on that side. My left. I have to lay flat on my back or on my right side. Another thing too is they told me I had arthritis in the hip. Can it make you feel like this? Also, sitting up straight kills it. Like when I’m drivin
I fell from the ceiling in the attic when I was 16 and fractured my lower l2 and l3 and injured my hip. Recently 9 years later I’m having horrible pain from my lower back above my butt and all around my hip area. Sometimes can feel the pain in my knee. After I had my 2nd child it has gotten worse with the weight gain or maybe pregnancy. All I know, is that when I walk the pain is unbearable and gets worse with any ativity (mostly walking) to where I can’t go on.
@simsy05 may be bursitis
take motrin ,and see a doc
@exodus87 YOU MAY NEED A SHOE LIFT ,AND FUTURE SURGERY

i had osteonecrosis femoral head on my both thigh bones. the left side thigh bone already collapsed. i would like to know can my left thigh bone be lifted back to its place? thanks
@lego3 AVN id death of a segment of bone
occurs from different causes
trauma that involves fracture of the neck of the femur or dislocation of the hip can cause AVN
Hi, I would like to know what are the mechanism of injuries are there due to Avascular Necrosis of the hip? And what are the structures involved in AVN of the hip?-Thank you
