Can arthritis keep you from closing your hand?
Question by Josie W: Can arthritis keep you from closing your hand?
Can osteo or psoriatic arthritis prevent you from being able to close your hand into a fist? Or from stretching the fingers out? If so, why is that? Are the tendons affected? One of my hands is almost frozen with the fingers partially closed, and I can’t close it completely or open it. The family doctor just tossed out the diagnosis of “some sort of arthritis” and wouldn’t even refer me to a rheumotologist. It’s terribly painful, the fingers are puffed. The other hand is also affected, but to a much lesser extent.
Also, is it wrong of me to ask for a confirmation of this diagnosis, like an x-ray?
Arthritis Natural Treatment: The Secret To Going From Treatment To Recovery
Article by Paul F Harris
Arthritis natural treatment usually implies a biologically friendly pain mitigation course of therapy for anyone afflicted with one of the more painful forms of arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis are four of the more agonizing rheumatic diseases that seem to attract the attention of alternative health practitioners who offer care to this special patient population. What many critics of the alternative health care delivery field question is whether or not these desperate patients are receiving the best available care to alleviate their arthritic conditions. For any arthritic patient seeking to naturally alleviate her suffering or to reverse the arthritic affliction, this should be a reasonable concern.
Arthritis natural treatment protocols administered by alternative health practitioners generally follow a certain predictable pattern of care delivery. The arthritic patient is counseled on the particulars of the diagnosed illness, one or more diagnostic tests are done, a recommended course of treatment is discussed and the patient is sent home with written instructions as to what she must do to carry out her part in the treatment process. At least one follow-up office visit is set during the initial visit to allow the practitioner to monitor the effectiveness and appropriateness of the recommended protocol and the patient
Arthritis Causes and Natural Remedies to get rid from Arthritis and Joint Pain
Arthritis is a term that includes a group of disorders that affect your joints and muscles. Arthritis symptoms include joint pain, inflammation and limited movement of joints. When a joint is inflamed it may be swollen, tender, warm to the touch or red. Surrounding each joint is a protective capsule holding a lubricating fluid to aid in motion. Cartilage, a slippery smooth substance, covers most joints to assure an even, fluid motion of the joint. With joint arthritis, the cartilage may be damaged, narrowed and lost by a degenerative process or by inflammation making movement painful.

Has anyone developed cancer from taking Humira or Remicade?
I have Psoriatic Arthritis, and currently take 40mg Humira injection once a week, and have been on it for over a year now. Prior to that I was on Remicade infussions, and prior to that was Enbrel with Methotrexate. They are now saying that people who take Humira or Remicade are 2-3 times more likely to develop several types of cancer. Has anyone developed any problems from these medications yet or has your rheaumatologist taken you off of it because of the risks?
Thank You
Find Relief From Skin Disorders
Skin disorders can change the way a person looks and the way a person looks at themselves. It can be very upsetting and stressful to have a skin disorder. A skin disorder can occur not only on the face but on the rest of the body as well. Some of the most common skin disorders are Rosacea, Psoriasis, Eczema, and Acne.
Rosacea is an inflammatory skin condition that causes redness in the face. It produces small red, pus filled bumps or pimples. Rosacea does not have a cure but if left untreated it can progress. Treatments can control and reduce symptoms. Some symptoms include red areas on the face, bumps, bulbous nose, visible small blood vessels, feelings of being flush, and burning of the eyes.
