He needs to talk to his doctor about the right medications for the pain. Heat may help sometimes with the pain, such as a warm shower or bath.

Generally, the treatment of arthritis in psoriatic arthritis involves a combination of anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs) and exercise. If progressive inflammation and joint destruction occur despite NSAIDs treatment, more potent medications such as methotrexate (Rheumatrex, Trexall), corticosteroids, and antimalarial medications (such as hydroxychloroquine, or Plaquenil) are employed.

Question by MsBacon: Need help with Arthritis pain.?
I take 3 200mg Ibuprofen and 2 650mg Tylenol Arthritis pills at the same time 3 times a day with little to no relief. I am 26 and have lost most of my quality of life. I have to wear house shoes to just be able to walk. The area’s that are affected are both shoulders, elbows, wrists, thumbs, pinky joint, right knee, both hips, both heels and all toes, and the upper part of my spine.
I have psoriatic arthritis caused by my psoriasis. I used to take methotrexate which did wonders. I have lost my job and I can no longer go to Rhuem to get my prescriptions. Without these prescriptions I cannot perform many simple tasks like opening jars of food or even squeezing lotion out of a bottle.
If you have any suggestions I am in desperate need of something to take some pain away.

I did a lot of searching online, and it was clear that there is plenty of related information, but there is little directly about symptoms rheumatoid arthritis. I hope the following will be interesting to you.

Signs of arthritis rheumatism, spinal arthritis, gout arthritis, and/or arthritis in the feet for example can remain hidden for decades. By the time arthritis x-rays reveal signs of arthritis, the arthritis has already advanced. Patients with spinal arthritis, cervical arthritis, shoulder arthritis, and/or psoriatic arthritis for instance are often unaware that they even have arthritis.

i have psoriatic arthritis. and i got really sick. i got the flu. and then for about 4 days i got better. and then i got sick worse. they believe it was the swine flu. i cant get sick again. bottom line i get sick again i die. you see my problem? ive missed 2 weeks of school. and i need to get back. im not allowed out of my house. until i get the H1N1 shot and the flu shot. i am getting the H1N1 shot tomorrow but i need to find a regular seasonaly flu shot. dont ask me why please just tell me where in pennsylvania i can find one. i have looked on www.flu.gov i have looked on the pa health website. please if you could find me a location i would be so thankful! please!!!

im 14 and i have psoriatic arthritis but im worried im on a drug called methotrexate 20mg injection evry monday but i havent had my period i cant remeber the last time what can i do?

i have liver Disease, Crohn’s Disease, IBS, Psoriatic arthritis.

I have psoriatic arthritis and am being seen by a rheumatologist, am taking Enbrel, MTX and prednisone. I sit for eight hours at my job, taking breaks once an hour to walk around & stretch. Would using 1 pound ankle weights to do leg lifts under my desk – help get the circulation going? Or is this a bad idea?

I’ve read it can help rheumatiod arthritis so I was wondering if it helped psoriatic arthritis as well.
