Because you’re dealing with an internal disorder, any therapy will be a systemic one, and not a topically applied one. The old standard was methotrexate, as well as the usual sntiinflammatory agents ibuprofen, etc. However, the newer “biologics” work extremely well, with Humira being, perhaps, the best at the moment.
